By day I'm a senior software engineer at one of Australia's major banks, working in quality engineering — the part of the job that's about knowing precisely how software breaks before a customer ever finds out. Edge cases, regressions, the security gap nobody planned for.
That turns out to be unusually good training for building things. Plenty of websites are shipped and hoped for; I build the way I'd want to sign off on it — fast, properly checked, and still working six months later when nobody's watching.
I keep my name off the website — that's where the studio's name comes from. It's a public profile thing, not a secrecy thing: if you're considering working together and you want to know exactly who you're hiring, ask and I'll tell you. Most clients never do. What they care about is that they get my direct email, a call whenever they want one, and the same person on the other end from the first conversation through to launch.

Every project is quoted individually, because a five-page site and a booking platform have almost nothing in common. What stays the same is how we get to the number: we scope the work in detail first, agree a fixed price in writing, and that price does not move unless you ask for something new.

A page that repeats a layout with different words is quick. A page that behaves differently — a booking flow, a dashboard, a checkout — is a different kind of work.

If you want to change text and images without calling us, that means building an editing system behind the site. Worth it for most businesses, but it adds to the build.

A site that stands alone is simpler than one that has to talk to your CRM, your booking system, your payment provider, and your accounting software.

If you have brand guidelines and a designer, we build to them. If not, design is part of the project.
